Overview

Meistify supports two important export formats for accounting: DATEV export for your tax advisor and ZUGFeRD/XRechnung for electronic invoicing.

The export function is available from the Professional plan.

DATEV export

The DATEV export creates a CSV file that your tax advisor can import directly into DATEV.

  1. Go to Invoices β†’ Export
  2. Select the desired time period
  3. Click DATEV Export
  4. The CSV file is downloaded

The export file contains:

  • Invoice number and date
  • Customer data (name, customer number)
  • Net amount, VAT rate and gross amount
  • Booking account and counter account

Export monthly and send the file to your tax advisor. This saves you manually entering invoice data.

ZUGFeRD / XRechnung

ZUGFeRD is a hybrid invoice format – the PDF contains both the visual invoice and machine-readable XML data.

Meistify creates ZUGFeRD-compliant PDFs automatically. Your invoice PDFs contain embedded XML data following the ZUGFeRD 2.1 / Factur-X standard.

XRechnung

For public sector clients in Germany, the XRechnung format is mandatory. Meistify can create pure XML invoices in XRechnung format:

  1. Open the invoice
  2. Click Actions β†’ XRechnung (XML)
  3. The XML file is downloaded

The ZUGFeRD/XRechnung function is KoSIT-validated – the generated files have been successfully verified with the official KoSIT validator.
