Overview

In Meistify you manage your entire team in one place. Invite employees by email, assign roles and control what everyone can see and do.

Meistify has three roles: Admin (full access), Master (office view, limited) and Employee/Geselle (mobile view, own data only).

1. Invite an employee

  1. Navigate to Employees in the sidebar
  2. Click Invite Employee
  3. Enter the employee's email address
  4. Choose a role (Admin, Master or Employee)
  5. Click Send Invitation

Email in, role picked, invite sent β€” three clicks.

The employee receives an email with a registration link. After signing up they are immediately active in your business.

The invitation is valid for 7 days. After that you can send a new invitation.

2. Roles and permissions

Admin

  • Full access to all modules
  • Can invite and manage employees
  • Can change settings
  • Sees all data for all employees

Master

  • Access to customers, construction sites, orders, invoices, quotes
  • Can view time entries for all employees
  • Can assign employees to construction sites
  • Cannot change settings
  • Cannot invite or remove employees

Employee (Geselle)

  • Only sees assigned construction sites
  • Can only track and view own time entries
  • Sees own appointments in the calendar
  • No access to invoices, quotes or customer data

Only assign the Admin role to people who should also have access to company data, invoices and settings.

3. Manage employees

On the employee detail page you can:

  • Change role – e.g. promote Employee β†’ Master
  • Deactivate employee – Block access without deleting
  • Reactivate employee – Restore blocked access
  • Edit contact details – Phone, email, address

4. Deactivate vs. delete

  • Deactivate – The employee can no longer log in but remains in the history (time tracking, orders). Recommended for departed staff.
  • Delete – Only possible if the employee has no linked data.

In most cases deactivating is the better choice. This preserves all historical data and keeps reports accurate.
