Overview

The calendar in Meistify is your daily planning tool. At a glance you can see which employee is working where and when – and create new appointments via drag and drop.

Masters and admins see all appointments for all employees. Employees with the "Geselle" role only see their own.

1. Calendar views

The calendar offers three views:

  • Day view – All appointments for a day in a time grid
  • Week view – Overview of the entire week
  • Month view – High-level planning at month level

Switch between views using the buttons in the top right.

2. Create an appointment

There are two ways:

By clicking

  1. Click on a free time slot in the calendar
  2. Fill in the form:
    • Title – e.g. "Electrical installation Miller"
    • Employee – Who should go
    • Construction site – Where is the job
    • Start / End – Time period
  3. Click Save

By button

  1. Click New Appointment
  2. Same fields as above
  3. Save

Appointments are automatically colour-coded by employee, so you can see at a glance who is assigned where.

3. Edit appointments

  • Move – Drag and drop the appointment to a different time slot
  • Extend/Shorten – Drag the bottom edge of the appointment
  • Edit details – Click on the appointment to edit it
  • Delete – Click "Delete" in the edit dialog

4. Staff scheduling

The calendar shows you:

  • Utilisation – Which employee still has free capacity
  • Conflicts – When an employee is double-booked
  • Availability – Taking holidays and absences into account

Employees with the "Geselle" role cannot create or edit appointments for other team members. This function is only available to masters and admins.
