Overview
Construction sites are the central job location in Meistify. This is where orders, time tracking and staff assignments come together. Every construction site is linked to a customer.
Create a separate construction site for each physical location – even if the same customer has multiple sites. This lets you analyse time and costs per location.
1. Create a new construction site
Navigate to Construction Sites in the sidebar and click New Construction Site.
Required fields:
- Name – e.g. "Bathroom renovation Miller"
- Customer – Select an existing customer from the list
- Address – Street, postal code, city of the site
Optional fields:
- Start date / End date – Planned timeframe
- Description – Additional notes about the location
- Status – Planned, Active, Paused or Completed
2. Assign employees
On the construction site detail page you can assign employees:
- Click Assign Employee
- Select one or more employees from the list
- Confirm with Save
Assigned employees can see the construction site in their app and track time there.
Employees with the "Geselle" role only see construction sites they are assigned to. Masters and admins see all sites.
3. Manage status
Each construction site has one of four statuses:
- Planned – Not yet started
- Active – Work in progress
- Paused – Temporarily on hold
- Completed – All work finished
Change the status on the detail page via the status dropdown.
Completed construction sites can no longer be used for time tracking. Make sure all hours are logged before setting the status to "Completed".
4. Construction site at a glance
The detail page shows you at a glance:
- Assigned employees – Who is working here
- Tracked time – Hours per employee
- Linked orders – All orders for this site
- Activity timeline – Status changes and key events
- Notes – Internal comments about the location
